YOGA FOR DEPRESSION & ANXIETY STUDY

Our clinical study on yoga for depression and anxiety was published in the Journal of Alternative and Complementary Medicine, March, 2017, with impressive results. The study was conducted at Boston University School of Medicine with NIH funding. In a group of beginning yoga practitioners diagnosed with Major Depressive Disorder, practicing 90 minutes of yoga twice a week, along with some home practice, significantly decreased symptoms of depression and anxiety as measured by MRI technology and Beck’s Depression Inventory scale.
