FALL RETREAT ON BLOCK ISLAND, RI - Sunday, September 30 - Tuesday, October 2, 2018
Enjoy the beautiful New England fall season in the quiet beauty of Block Island, Rhode Island with a three day, two night yoga retreat. Click here for more details.

ISLA HOLBOX RETREAT 2019 - March 16-23, 2019
The venue for our yoga retreat is Villas Flamingos, a beachfront boutique hotel whose "hammocks in the sea" make it a unique destination on the island. Our twice daily yoga classes will be held in a thatched-roof palapa. In our third floor aerie, we practice with magnificent views of the ocean laid out before us. Between classes there will be time to cool down in the seafront pool, walk along the beach to town, take a siesta in a hammock, go for a kayak tour, bike around the island, or simply surrender to the slow rhythm of island life by doing “nothing”. Click here for more details.

Our new study on Yoga for Depression and Anxiety has been published in the Journal of Alternative and Complementary Medicine, March, 2017, with impressive results. In a group of beginning yoga practitioners diagnosed with Major Depressive Disorder, practicing 90 minutes of yoga twice a week, along with some home practice, significantly decreased symptoms of depression and anxiety as measured by MRI technology and Beck's Depression Inventory scale.
