Enjoy the beautiful New England fall season in the quiet beauty of Block Island, Rhode Island with a three day retreat. Our time includes two nights at The 1661 Inn, four yoga sessions, two champagne breakfasts, one dinner at Spring House, and two “wine & nibbles” hours.
The Nature Conservancy named Block Island “One of the Last Great Places”. You’ll have plenty of time between yoga sessions to walk, hike or bike around the island. Experience its natural beauty, shop in the quaint town center, or just relax at the hotel’s beautifully landscaped grounds overlooking Block Island Sound. Click here for more details.
YOGA FOR DEPRESSION & ANXIETY STUDY
Our latest study on Yoga for Depression and Anxiety has been published in the Journal of Alternative and Complementary Medicine, March, 2017, with impressive results. In a group of beginning yoga practitioners diagnosed with Major Depressive Disorder, practicing 90 minutes of yoga twice a week, along with some home practice, significantly decreased symptoms of depression and anxiety as measured by MRI technology and Beck’s Depression Inventory scale.
